FILIPINOS generally are nationalist, we like to wear anything local, we like to patronize local product even to the point of displaying to the world anything Filipino but most will agree that we are not Patriots.

Patriotism is much deeper than nationalism. Some nations are both nationalists and Patriots, here we can’t say the all of us are Patriots because everybody loves the Philippines but there are only a handfull that would say that they would die fighting for the Philippines.

last september 12, 2022, the Board of Trusted of the Veterans of World War II has just celebrated their. 60th Anniversary, these Patriots are those whom we could say are the people who is willing to die defending the country from foreign invaders.
