PCIEERD and PIA MOU will impact public awareness

Makati City – The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology (PCIEERD) has ink deal with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) for better science and technology information and communicate impacts on Filipino lives. During PCIEERD 14th Anniversary on June 28, 2024 at Dusit Thani Hotel. 

The Memorandum of Understanding is a synergy for  PCIEERD’s commitment for S&T information reaching the grassroots. Through the help of PIA. PCIEERD and PIA signed a memorandum of understanding on June 28 during the PCIEERD 14th anniversary celebration.

During the MOU are:   Dr Enrico C Paringit, Executive Director DOST PCIEERD,  Engr Ninaliza H Escorial, Deputy Executive Director DOST PCIEERD, Jose A Torres Jr, PIA Director General, Kat De Castro, PIA Deputy General witness by  PCIEERD Science Communication Sector Mark Ivan Roblas and Allane Orendez. 

Aside from laymanizing PCIEERD’s  news articles, hhe PIA would help them plan and develop science communication strategies and publicity campaigns to raise awareness activities and programs at the grassroots level Paringit. expressed. 

The PIA will give technical assistance to develop communication materials on PCIEERD researches. Also PIA will  provide support such as event coverage and event invitations, and disseminate information among media organizations.

The raising impacts of public awareness on PCIEERD’s programs and activities by posting these on the PIA website and social media platforms, Paringit shared.
