September 18, 2021- “No property or anything can become a legacy in the future. We must create a world of freedom, peace, and love without war, and make it an eternal legacy for our descendants. This is what we need to do in this era. Although the process of submitting the DPCW to the UN was paused for a while due to the corona pandemic, the work of achieving a world of peace will never stop in our hearts.” Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL urged cooperation and unity for achieving peace.
The 7th World Peace Summit Anniversary held in Seoul South Korea and spearheaded by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) which started last September 18 2014 was commemorated on this day.
Seven years ago, leaders from around the globe convene driven on the initiative to disseminate the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) creating harmony without race and religion, a diversity in the name of everlasting peace for the next generation.
Since then, the annual World Peace Summit with its 2021 theme: ADVANCING THE DPCW’S PEACE AGENDA IN A NEW NORMAL: CONCERTED ACTION FOR SUSTAINABLE PEACE”. HWPL as the lead convenor for continuing to educate and promote peace in various sectors (like youth, women, politics/religion, Non-Government Organization, journalist) in an innovative way of not just building peace monuments, peace walks but also to addressing social issues, challenges of cyber bullying, and women empowerment, human rights violations especially during this pandemic through an online webinar.
Aimed at discussing ways to attain sustainable peace through new ideas and cooperation among societies of the world, it also highlights the results of their finished programs and projects geared towards the promotion of peace and to resolve conflicts by way of HWPL’s DPCW.
With the current onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic still looming, the event was virtually done through Zoom, HWPL showed the finished programs and projects but the most anticipated part was that of Chairman Man Hee Lee’s message.
Part of it was quite timely for there were rumors of wars and escalating conflicts in various places notwithstanding the impacts to life and property aside from people who would be displaced.
He says that “ if an atomic bomb would be unleashed in the world today, it can easily obliterate the entire humankind” further he says that” God did not create us to kill each other” he shared the value of diplomacy and open communication that went beyond the boundaries of religion, ideology and political affiliations.
Diplomacy has always been the effective way in the resolution of conflicts since the olden times and by the words of HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee “no one wins in war”.
