In recent days,due to the impact of a super typhoon many areas in the Philippines have been hit by heavy rain for several consecutive days leading to widespread flooding.
Responding to a request by the Metropolitan Water works and Sewerage System ( MWSS) in the Philippines, CEECs Kaliwa Dam Project promptly formed a young volunteer service team and urgently organized the purchase of relief supplies worth 100,000 Philippine Pesos including food rice and drinking water and rushed to the main disaster areas around the project the village of Daraitan in Tanay Rizal.
To carry out disaster relief work. They transported rice flour canned food and other materials to the affected villages bringing support and warmth to the affected people.
According to the village government of Daraitan, the relief materials donated by the Kaliwa Dam Project this time will be distributed to around 250 affected families in the village.
At the material hand over ceremony, Adrian Pranada the headman of the Daraitan village expressed appreciation saying “this extraordinary act of kindness shows the noble spirit of the Chinese people and we are so grateful”
