Quezon City, PHILIPPINES- If this city is Business Ready, how about the others? this is the question posed by the business sector in the advent of this years total implementation of the Mandanas Ruling whereby some of the responsibilities of the national government will be handed to the LGU.

Recently, the Anti Red Tape Authority (ARTA) with the World Bank (WB) group in cooperation with the local government unit of Quezon City headed by Mayor Joy Belmonte held a forum assessing the business readiness of the local government units of the country to attract more investment from local and foreign business.

Dr. Dandan Chen the Operations Manager for Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei of the World bank Group with the Director for the Global indicators Group Norman Loayza says that we need much work to get all the LGU’s to be business Ready.

In the Speech of ARTA Director General Ernesto V Perez he says that the Private Sector is the key driver to bring progress to the nation and to usher in this era of prosperity, the government should totally streamline processes and go digitalize. In a short interview with former Department of Energy secretary Jose Rene Almenras, now in the private sector he says that the dilemma of the business sector situated on lower class cities and municipalities of the country is not so satisfactory in terms of business readiness particularly in the streamlining of processes and digitalization moreover in the advent of the full implementation of the Mandanas Ruling its up to the Department of the Interior and Local Government to properly engage the LGU’s.

for the part of other LGU’s like Quezon City, City Administrator Michael Alimurung in an interview on the last video says that they have no problem with the Mandanas ruling for in fact its a plus factor for social service to the people and minimize corruption.
