PEOPLE who celebrates their natal day often says it’s their celebration of life simply meant that they are giving thanks to the Creator because of another chance to wake up, live and thrive especially in these trying times.
Such is a case with this Ambassador’s mother who turned 86 years young recently, last August 7, 2022 held at the LMX Convention Center in Butuan City at Agusan Del Sur which has been well attended by her son’s honorable guests from the government and in the diplomatic corps.
Tagged as a “Tiara Ball” Mrs. Felomina Gounet’s 86th Birthday Celebration themed “Celebrate Life at 86” is a sort of thanksgiving wherein well-wishers were: H. E. Peter Froese, the Duke of Armenia, Ms. Janet Yap of the Manila Hotel, Dr. Elton Tan, Ms. Jessie Maloles the Mrs. Asia International, Pakistan Ambassador H.E Ghazi Tamiz Uddin Khan with Mrs. Victoria Tartana-Khan, AFP-JAGO Spokesperson Atty. Candy Riva, Iligan First Lady Gina Cruz and Sol Obach.
Also present were Lanao Del Norte Governor Jun Banocag, Turbo Felix Turbolencio 1, Ginoong Mayoralty Atty. Gam Gallao and Dr. Grace Gallao, Maj. Dens Villanueva of the 4ID Bukidnon, Mr. Jojo Yee of the Chinese Chamber and last but not the least is Pres. Lordgette Neis of the Lions Club and a lot more VIP’s.
H.E Ambassador Gion Gounet in his short message says that his mom’s birthday celebration is a “double life celebration” because while he was almost dying due to some lung disease and pneumonia, his mom who went to fetch him at the hospital met with a vehicular accident last April of this year yet through the grace of God both of them survive the ordeal. The prayers were officiated by four Ministers from the Seventh day Adventist Church North Eastern Mindanao Mission lead by Executive Secretary Pastor Ralph Domingo.
