
The T’nalak and the Tboli Women exhibitor of IP month at Conrad Hotel
Pasay City- All the way from Surallah South Cotabato to Conrad Hotel. This October 2, 2025 as this month celebration of National Indigenous People’s Month the Klowil Agricultural Enterprise Multi- Purpose Cooperative.
T’nalak is a handwoven cloth made from abaca fiber and intricately tie- dyed with traditional patterns. Consider as sacred textile in T’boli tribe women of South Cotabato.
The T’boli people in spiritual perspective believe that the designs for T’nalak come to the weavers in their dreams. It begins with the careful extraction of fibers the abaca fibers from the abaca plant. With used of natural vegetable dyes and each T’nalak textile is one of the kind often requiring several months of dedicated work for it’s completion.
