Kuwait’s National Day, Liberation Day Celebrations in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Senate Committee on Migrant Workers Chairperson Sen. Raffy Tulfo, together with his wife, House of Representatives Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs Vice Chairperson Cong. Jocelyn Tulfo, attended the State of Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day festivities held at Shangri-La The Fort on February 9.

The event followed an invitation by Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Meshari Yousef Muhammad Alnibari, 

Also gracing the celebration were top diplomatic representatives from various Middle Eastern and Asian nations. These include, State of Palestine Ambassador His Excellency Mounir Y.K. Anastas, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Turkiye  His Excellency Niyazi Even Akyol and Spouse  Mme. Indri P Akyol, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary of Malaysa His Excellency Dato’ Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony. Arab Republic of Egypt Ambassador His Excellency Nader Zaki and Spouse Nancy Ramzy and Egyptian Deputy Chief of Mission Ahmed Hany, Brunei Darussalam Ambassador Her Excellency Megawati Manan, South Africa Ambassador Her Excellency Bartinah Ntombizodwa Radebe Netshitenzhe, Columbia Ambassador His Excellency Edgar Rodrigo Rojas Garavito, State of Qatar Ambassador His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al – Homidi, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ambassador His Excellency Faisal Ebraheem M Al – Ajrafi Al- Ghamdi.

Also  present are: Secretary Atty Hans Leo Cacdac of Department of Migrants Workers, Anti Red Tape Authority Director General Secretary Atty Ernesto Perez,Samira Gutoc representative the office of Senator Robinhood Padilla.

A key topic of their discussions was the welfare and current situation of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) stationed in their respective countries., also attended were the Dean of the Diplomatic corps Apostolic Nuncio, Vatican Ambassador to the Philippines Most Revered Charles John Brown the Ambassador from the kingdom of Morocco His Excellency Mohammed Rida- El Fassi.
