BULACAN, PHILIPPINES- MORE than 1,027 warm bodies get to hear profound and inspirational messages from the wisest religious leaders in the religion of Islam in this province as well as pointers on welcoming the Holy month of Ramadan this year 2026.

As the first ever grand Istiqbal, brethren all over the 24 towns of this province converged at the provincial capitol gymnasium last february 15, to hear words of wisdom from Alim, Ustadz and ulamas anticipating the days when believers start not to drink and eat from sun up to sun down for a month.

With this the head of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Secretary Sabuddin N Abdurahim himself as areligious leader went out of his way to attend this monumental event though coming from the south (Mindanao), the secretary lauded the organizers in achieving such an inspirational feat in attaining the 1027 warm bodies that has attended the event.

Also present where Athenie Ramirez-Bautista, the Chairperson of Damayang Filipino, an NGO who has supported the brethren in the province and Ms Veronica Andrino’ OMARA Pay who has also supported the event together with the Mangelen Family, The Rajah Law Firm, Businessman Joel Cruz and a lot of benefactors touched by Allah SWT in making this monumental event successful.

Though unable to attend, Governor Daniel Fernando himself a supporter of the cause of Islam took care of the venue and food making sure that the Muslims in the province is as much important as their Christian neighbors.
