Damayang Filipino Movement Inc., the organization Gov Daniel Fernando founded now chaired by his Sister Athenie Bautista had a blood letting recently aimed at replenishing the supply of blood for the bulakenyo since blood is very important in several medical treatment and also is expensive and some types are hard to find.

Bulakenyos from all walks of life, affluent and indigent flock to the venue of the blood letting to show their support in donating blood. Fist responders, firemen, police officers, students, government and private sector didn’t hesitate to donate notwithstanding religion and sectoral differences.
