Mikee Romero, Rising Tigers’ “Man of the Year,” to Headline Magazine Signing at SM Mall of Asia

PASAY CITY, Philippines – Billionaire, philanthropist, and sportsman Mikee Romero will meet readers and supporters at a special magazine signing event on March 12, 2026, as he graces the March cover of Rising Tigers Magazine and is recognized as the publication’s “Man of the Year.”

The event will run from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at National Book Store inside SM Mall of Asia, organized by Rising Tigers Magazine. Andrew Troy Nicolas, chairman of Tag Media Group, will lead the signing, continuing the organization’s focus on highlighting stories of leadership, governance, and community service.

The “Man of the Year” award honors Romero’s lifetime of impact across multiple sectors. As an entrepreneur, he built industry-leading enterprises in port terminals, logistics, aviation, real estate, and energy—earning a spot on the 2013 Forbes Philippines 50 Richest list at age 40. In public service, the three-term congressman and former Senior Deputy Speaker authored or co-authored over 1,200 bills, with 148 enacted into law, including landmark measures for free college tuition, universal healthcare, and social protection.

Romero has also advanced Philippine sports through federation development and athlete support, while his work as a Full Colonel in the Philippine Air Force Reserve has contributed to military modernization and disaster response. His humanitarian efforts have reached remote communities nationwide, from the northern islands to the southern regions, including Aeta communities in Pampanga and Zambales.
