Bulacan Marks 448th Founding Anniversary with Singkaban Festival  

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Province of Bulacan celebrated its 448th Founding Anniversary on August 15, 2026, since its establishment in 1578, alongside the launch of the Singkaban Festival, known as the “Mother of All Festivals” in the province. The celebration carries the theme: “Honoring Our Rich History, Securing Bulacan’s Great Future.”

⚠️ State of Calamity Declared

Governor Daniel R. Fernando announced a province-wide State of Calamity, emphasizing accountability over blame: “It is not about pointing fingers, but about accountability — the people have the right to know where the funds went.”

📢 Governor’s Anniversary Message

Governor Fernando stated:

“Beloved Bulakenyos, wherever life may take you — we remain Bulakenyos, and we stand firm. This is the foundation of a noble future for generations yet to come.”

🎤 Malolos City Representative’s Message

City Councilor JV Vitug represented Malolos City Mayor Atty. Christian Natividad. Speaking as a proud youth leader and Bulakenyo, Councilor Vitug conveyed the Mayor’s message and shared his own:

Dr. Richard Daenos, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism (Region 3), remarked:

“Bulacan carries a long and rich past — pages written with triumph and perseverance. The Singkaban Festival is how we write a bold new chapter.”

Also present were Vice Governor Alex C. Castro and Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino, joining officials and residents in honoring Bulacan’s heritage, unity, and resilience.
