Manila City-  This April month of Literature in collaboration with Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino  and Philippine Normal University (PNU) gathering from Academe, students, teachers, and cultural enthusiasts witnessed  the module for teaching Filipino as second language today April 17, 2024 at  PNU Learning Conmons, E. Introducing the speaker is Dr Sheilee B Vega to Former KWF Commissioner  Purificacion G. Delima with the topic: 

“Wastong Pagkatuto ng Wika Susi ng Pagyaman ng Diwa” 

On the second speakers Dr Eennielyn F Fajilan, on Interculturality  entitled ” Interkultural na Lapit sa Pagtuturo ng Filipino bilang Pangalawang Wika sa mga Di- Tagalog” 

As insight that Filipino language rank for top 40 to 45 in the world. To more than 6,000 language worldwide. She also shared that in teaching language its should have cultural attachments. 

Some of Intercultiral Development Continuum are monocultural mindset, denial, polarization, minimization, acceptance and adaptation. 

While the intercultural mindset need acceptance and adaptation for inclusive communication with difference accents. 

Also present KWF Commisioners, Prof Abraham P Sakali, Reggie O Cruz, Christian Abueno, Hope Yu, Jesus Insilada and Melchor Orpilla.
