Highlighted the enduring friendship,  deeply rooted shared values, and growing cooperation between Türkiye and the Philippines. The 102  Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye & 76th Anniversary of Türkiye – Philippines Diplomatic Relations hosted by Turkish Ambassador H.E. Niyazi Evren Akyol & Mme. Indri P. Akyol at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila Hotel in Ayala Avenue corner Makati Avenue, Makati City last October 29, 2025.

In the welcome address, H.E. Ambassador Niyazi Evren Akyol paid tribute to Türkiye’s remarkable journey as a modern and resilient republic, while underscoring the steady deepening of bilateral relations with the Philippines.

Ambassador Akyol  expressed his greeting that the Philippines on its upcoming 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship and convey optimism that Türkiye’s application for ASEAN Dialogue Partnership status will advance under the Philippines’ leadership.

 His sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests,friends and partners who joined the commemoration, remarks that as both nations celebrate 76 years of diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Akyol stressed .,“We share the same democratic values and a foreign policy that prioritizes peace, stability, and respect for international law,” he affirmed, reiterating Türkiye’s readiness to further collaborate with the Philippines in infrastructure development, energy, transportation, and defense.

A special message from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who paid tribute to Türkiye’s century-long legacy of independence and unity. The President reaffirmed Türkiye’s steadfast commitment to global peace, humanitarian action, and justice for all.

The Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Maria Theresa Dizon-de Vega, commended Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) projects in the Philippines as a reflection of Türkiye’s continued commitment to sustainable development and the enduring friendship between the two nations.
