October 17, 2024 The Muntinlupa City Muslim Affairs Office (MCMAO) and Muntinlupa City Police Station (MCPS) conducted Information Drive on  Islamic Values for Police Personnel. At the Conference Room, Muntinlupa City Police Station Headquarters, Centennial Ave., Tunasan, Muntinlupa City

This annual program conducted  aimed to assist and introduced simple ways of Muslims beliefs, culture, traditions and to strengthen their knowledge / understanding and cooperation about the daily lives of Muslims in terms of culture sensitivity. 

Co-Initiated in this collaborative effort by Datu Janalodin “Johnny” T. Guiling, Director (MCMAO) and PCOL ANGEL L GARCILLANO, Chief of Police (MCPS).  with the Program Prayer or Dua from Imaam Omar Balbuena, opening remarks of Datu Johnny Guiling he said he is the community leader in Muntinlupa for more than a decades and they gain respect from the Chief Executive. The Resource Speaker Atty. Datubimban Pangonotan Jr., PhD, Head, Export Marketing Bureau, Halal Section, DTI. 

Sharia lawyer presentation shared the basic information that being a Muslim has 5 pillars and part of is the 5 times daily prayer and on time of Ramadan the one month fasting that will be based on lunar calendar.  He added in enforcing the law to a Muslim women it should be a woman cop also as much as possible. 

In a relationship Atty. Pangonotan shared that even a pantyliner and make up is a responsibility of a husband to his wife. All the expenses will be provided by the husband to his wife. 

And as a Muslim it is mandatory shared to fellow Muslim brother or sister in need to have a zakat 2.5% of  his saving and investment. And on sunnah ( practices) if someone need money there is no interest just payback how much money borrowed it is Islamic banking. This aim to promote economic, and social justice. 

 HRH Sultan Coyogan “Cocoy” B. Bansao, Paramount Sultan of BATANGAS shared his best practices in Batangas one of this is every September in the whole province declaring Christian Muslim Friendship Month. Leading the Muslim community in Batangas for 3 decades. 

While PLTCOL Elmer L. Bao delivered his inspirational message he previous assigned in Sulu and other part of Mindanao and he had already aware in the culture and mingling with the Muslim. While COP Garcellano can make it because of  an equally important event he represented by PCPT Aminoden S Mangonday.
