
The Arab Republic of Egypt has a long standing diplomatic relations with the Philippines ranging from religious to academic, to tourism ang business that’s why with its new ambassador in the country they have celebrated their 73rd national day with all their diplomat colleagues showing the vibrant culture of their country.

Makati City- Honored to attend the celebration of Egypt’s National Day yesterday (July 1, 2025) at the invitation of His Excellency Ambassador Nader Zaki and spouse Nancy Ramzy and Daughter Nadine.
The event, at Fairmont was graced by Dr Osama Assayed Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments of Egypt and esteemed diplomats including H.E. Mounir Anastas of Palestine and Ambassador Ahmed S. Al-homidi of Qatar, Ambassador Niyazi Akyol of Turkiye and spouse Indri, Ambassador Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino of Malaysia, Ambassador Charles Brown of Holy See, Ambassador German Ambassador Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke of Germany, Sara Hassan of UAE Embassy among others.
The NCMF Secretary, Sheikh Sabuddin N. Abdurahim was also present and Former Presidential Adviser on Muslim Affairs and Present President of Muslim Association of the Philippines Almarim Tillah, DTI Halal Program Manager Aleem Guipal and spouse Almerah.
Egypt, the cradle of civilization, implied the world’s oldest university and is a beacon in the Arab and Muslim world, graduating thousands of Muslim prominent leaders and scholars. Famous for its ancient culture, rich heritage, and as a premier tourism destination, Egypt has played a vital role in shaping global history and education.
Thousands of Muslim Filipinos have obtained their degrees from Egyptian universities, notably Al-Azhar University, reinforcing the strong educational and cultural ties between our nations. Here’s to continued friendship on its between Egypt and the Philippines.
His Excellency Dr. Osama Assayed Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments of Egypt, for a courtesy meeting to explore collaboration in both the Halal and non-Halal sectors, strengthening overall international investment cooperation.
The Egyptian delegation met with DTI and key Philippine agencies, including the Philippine Halal Export Board, NCMF, BSP, DA, DFA, DOH, and SPDA, TESDA to discuss joint efforts in Halal and non-Halal trade, technical cooperation, market access, and broader investment opportunities beyond Halal industries.
Minister Al-Azhari expressed Egypt’s strong interest in not only collaborating on Halal development but also expanding trade and investment partnerships with the Philippines across various industries.
