A call for National Awareness on the Advent of Islam in the Philippines. The first mosque build by Arab Missionary Sheikh Karimul Makhdum is on Simunul Tawi Tawi. This year marked the 644th Sheikh Karimul Makhdum day to honor his invaluable contributions in propagating Islam commemorated every November 7 the Bangsamoro Government.

The Project 650 Ph in 2030 is an initiative that will mark the 650 years of Islamic presence in the Philippines in 2030. The Office of the President has issued an administrative order last 2023 in creating the ” Situmiayat Wakhamsum Aldhikraa National Committee” (SWANC).

A five pages Administrative Order No. 10 in 2023 dated November 7 and signed by Execitive Secretary Lucas Bersamin. The chairman of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines will serve as chairperson of the SWANC. and the Office of Presidential Adviser on Muslim Affairs (OPAMA) as partner.

The AO stressed that the commemoration anniversary will recognize the role of Muslim Filipinos in shaping Philippine history and heritage as it emphasized that will not only promote local and national tourism, ” but also reignite nationalism in every Filipino, inculcate value for the common good, strength social cohesive of the community and intensify social awareness”.
