Celebrating Friendship through Art:  An exquisite pieces of art showcase

 Makati City- Special Event of Art exhibitions featuring 10 artists from the Philippines and Malaysia opened in One Ayala on 30 of August. The  Art Expo titled “Celebrating Friendship Through Art: A Kaleidoscope of 60 years of Diplomatic Relations between Malaysia and the Philippines” is open to the public for free until 1 of  September.

The participating artist puts on display works of Filipino visual artists Ramon Orlina, Anthony Palomo, Francisco Guerrero, Dennis Bato, and Niakie; and Malaysia’s Dato Tajuddin Ismail, Juhari Said, SC Shekar, Anniketyni Madian and Syahbandi Samat.

“ It is through the eyes of our talented artists that we see the beauty of our cultures blended together, and it is through their hands that we feel the power of our connection. Let us keep fostering and fortifying the bonds that unite our nation by promoting artistic and cultural interactions,” Ambassador  of Malaysia to the Philippines  Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony expressed.

Interactive collaborative artwork by Dennis Bato and Syahbandi Samat  unveils the parallels and intersections of two cultures, as perceived by each artist. While we may seem very different on the surface many commonalities exist.
