The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) is conducting the first Legal Summit, with a theme “Scaling-up Partnership Efforts Against Red Tape 2023” or “SPEAR.”

The Legal Summit comes as an avenue to consolidate all the ARTA Legal Group’s partnerships and collaborative initiatives and efforts to enhance the Authority’s coordination strategies with national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs), government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs), state universities and colleges (SUCs), law enforcement agencies (LEAs), and private sector stakeholders on implementing its reform initiatives under the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law.

The topics to be covered include the Salient Features of EODB Law and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, Salient Features of the Revised Rules of Procedure (RROP), Best Practices and Initiatives of Law Enforcement Agencies, Challenges and Hurdles, and Responsibilities of ARTA Champions.

Aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directives to improve bureaucratic efficiency, the Summit aims to expand the promotion of the EODB Law nationwide and to showcase the commitments of various NGAs, LGUs, GOCCs, SUCs, LEAs, and private stakeholders to curb red tape incidents in the country.
