Bulacan, PHILIPPINES-The Municipality of Dona Remedios Trinidad particularly the residents from Barangay Sapang Bulak is in dismay with their current Local Government Unit (LGU) head because they have been alledgedly excluded from the Tulong Pangkabuhayan para sa ating Disadvantaged/displaced Worker (TUPAD) which was a program of the national government spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and executed by the LGU.
According to the disgusted residents who wants to be in the shortlist of TUPAD, staff from the municipal hall says that them, belonging to Barangay Sapang Bulac are not included because their Barangay captain is eyeing the mayoralty seat this election despite the fact that the TUPAD program is inclusive and it has nothing to do with politics because its a national government program intended for those who are disadvantaged.
In a rare telephone interview with Barangay Captain Leobardo Piodozo of Baranga Sapang Bulac, he did confirm that fellow residents in his barangay has told him that they are being excluded in the TUPAD program by the Municipal Hall because he’s running for Mayor . He symphatized with his townmates because the TUPAD is not a program of Dona Remedios Trinidad but from DOLE, and therefore its for everybody and they have no right to exclude anyone
